“Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.” |
—2 Peter 1:4 |
Throughout the Bible, we read many promises that God has so graciously given to His dearly loved children. Our very existence depends on these promises of God. The Apostle Peter confirmed how important these promises really are when he wrote the words found in 2 Peter 1:4:
Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.
Our participation in God’s divine nature depends on the faithfulness of God’s promises. As we begin yet another day, let’s bask in the glory of these precious promises and receive them with great joy.
