Which Fork?

“My son, do not forget my teaching…”
—Proverbs 3:1

Almost daily, we come to forks in the road of our lives. Which path will we choose to follow?

King Solomon offers these words of wisdom from Proverbs 3:1-4:

My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.

It is important that we remember God’s teaching through His Word. Obedience to this teaching will protect us from Satan’s evil intrusion into our lives. It will keep us from taking the wrong fork in our life’s road.

We can live in true peace and security if we remain obedient to God’s Word and yield to the guidance of the indwelling Holy Spirit.

Let us remember, obey, and live!
